Wildlife Shelter Support Center — WSSC
We are a dedicated wildlife care facility committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing injured and orphaned animals — while advancing global veterinary education and conservation.
Every day, our dedicated team of veterinarians and wildlife keepers work tirelessly — from complex surgeries in our clinic to field research and hands-on care — giving injured and orphaned animals a second chance at life in the wild.
Our clinic team performs life-saving procedures, ensuring every animal receives world-class medical attention.
Beyond our walls, our team ventures into the wild to monitor, assess, and protect vulnerable wildlife populations.
Reuniting mothers with their young and providing safe, nurturing environments is at the heart of our mission.
When cubs play and grow strong, we know our work is making a real difference — one rescued life at a time.
"We believe every wild animal deserves a chance to live free. Our mission is not just to heal — it is to restore, to protect, and to ensure the next generation of wildlife thrives."
We are building a modern, fully equipped kitchen designed to handle the preparation of all animal diets under one roof. The facility will feature a walk-in refrigerator and freezer, see-through storage cabinets, dedicated prep zones for bears and all other species, and triple-sink sanitation stations to meet the highest care standards.
Our new infirmary will be integrated directly with the animal commissary to streamline care. It will include a large-access garage for bigger animals, a state-of-the-art hydraulic surgical lift system, a biosecure wing for infection control, and a dedicated workstation for our Head Veterinarian.
A central "middle space" will connect the infirmary and commissary, housing keeper workstations for record keeping, a full all-staff break room, and comfortable overnight accommodations with two private restrooms — ensuring our team is fully supported during rescue seasons and weather emergencies.
The Wildlife Shelter Support Center is embarking on one of the most significant expansions in our history — a comprehensive new Animal Clinic designed to meet the rapidly growing demands of our wildlife care and veterinary programs.
This state-of-the-art facility will not only elevate the standard of care for our resident animals but will open new doors to rescue, rehabilitate, and release injured and orphaned wildlife back into their natural habitats.
Beyond local impact, we are building a world-class hub where wildlife care professionals and veterinarians from across the globe can come to exchange knowledge, undergo specialized training, and contribute meaningfully to international conservation efforts.
Hydraulic lift/table system to safely perform complex surgeries on animals of all sizes, including large mammals.
Wide garage-style entry doors to safely transport large animals directly into the clinical space with minimal stress.
A separate, controlled-access wing ensures strict infection control and protects both staff and resident animals.
Purpose-built spaces to host international veterinary training, workshops, and wildlife medicine collaboration.
We are beyond excited to get this project underway. Your generosity directly fuels our ability to provide life-saving care, expand rescue operations, and build a future where wildlife and people thrive together.
With growing demands in our animal care department — both in husbandry and veterinary care — we are proud and energized to be expanding our facilities. I am deeply grateful to be part of a passionate, driven team that shares the same vision for wildlife conservation.
This expansion will allow us to provide cutting-edge medical care for our resident animals while contributing to wildlife health on a global scale. It will serve as a premier destination for veterinary professionals seeking to collaborate, train, and advance wildlife medicine worldwide.
